At first it was hazy, but this was good for the planets as the seeing was fairly still. As the night went on the haze cleared, the seeing got worse but the transparency got better for deep sky, so we got the best of both worlds
It was great to finally meet some of the people on the boards.

Folks - super event. Great lectures, well organised, nice location. Sorry myself and Fiona had to leave early for a family bereavement. Looking forward to next year already!
Well done again

Folks,
as Michael said above, we are glad that you all enjoyed the weekend.
Also, as I said to a few people who talked to me personally, I hope that all your kind words are true.
As a club, we hope that if you have any suggestions or feedback, good and bad, to please let us know. As this is crrently the ONLY Spring star party in Ireland, we therefore want to make it the best! Your feedback is appreciated!
All comments can be sent to the club at tullamoreastronomy@yahoo.co.uk
Dave McDonald, sorry to hear about Fiona's bereavement, please give her our sympathies.
Looking forward to seeing you all again at either our Perseids Bar-B-Q or the Whirlpool Star Party again!
Seanie.

I'm not far from Stradbaly. Originally lived on Grattan street in Portlaoise. the Bannans that lived there are relations. The last house owned by them is now being completely renovated. Know the one?
It would be nice to meet up sometime. trouble is for me, I work odd hours a lot. But, I do get my nights off! Whereabouts are you Shane?
Derek.
