The Next meeting of the Galway Astronomy club takes place on Monday June 27th at the Forster Court Hotel @8pm. For this we welcome a long time serving member of the club Michael Ryan, who went on to complete a four year course in Physics and Astronomy at NUI Galway under Prof Mike Redfern.
His talk will describe his Final Year project in which he charted the light curve and rotation of the Minor planet 4807 Noboru using the new college 16 inch telescope, i dont need to remind anyone who saw it at this years Connaught starparty with all the flash bulbs going off. This minor planet was discovered by the japanese astronomer in 1991. All welcome.
