The Next meeting of the Galway Astronomy club takes place on Monday August 29th at the Forster Court Hotel @8pm. For this we are showing the new IMAX DVD called "Space Station". An excellent DVD.I will be doing a short talk afterwards on night sky/ space events etc. Tea and coffee served after, admission free.
Has anyone else seen this new DVD??, the one thing i like that it is short (47 mins) and straight to the point. Perfect for a club meeting. I must say the visuals are pretty amazing especially the shuttle launch, try listening to it near full volume with 5.1 sound. Was released in 2003 and saw it in 3-D at Vancouver IMAX, well worth the buy pity no bonus 3-D material.
