hi all,
various circumstances meant a temporary lapse in production of Arcturus but we're back on track now!
I've uploaded the Sept/Oct 2005 issue to the FILES folder . . . click on the link here to download it (approx. 900K as a pdf).
www.irishastronomy.org/user_resources/fi...8888-arc_sept_05.pdf
featured is an interview with Guy Consolmagno and Dan Davis, co-authors of "Turn Left at Orion". Guy will also be a speaker at this year's Whirlpool Star Party. Kevin Berwick has written an article on the plans to site a radio telescope in Birr while Deirdre Kelleghan's account of tackling the Novice Observing Challenge (written by Seanie) will hopefully encourage more people outside and looking up.
as always, send in any contributions you may have. Closing date for the Nov/Dec issue will be mid-October.
all the best,
John

Perhap because light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Have just downloaded the new issue and am really looking forward to reading it. Also, may I be the first to welcome it back. Keep up the good work!

Everyone in Ireland buys Meade, and they all buy them from Lidl.

Nope. The message says " A file I/O error has occurred. The file connection timed out".
Suppose I need to try a PC restart!
