Tullamore AS: Next Meeting - Tues Nov. 22nd: Radio Astronomy

The next public lecture takes place in the Order of Malta Training Room, Tanyard, Tullamore as follows:

Date & Time: Tuesday November 22nd @ 8pm
Speaker/Topic: Sean McKenna, TAS
Title: Radio Astronomy: How It Is Done
Admission: Members: Free, Non-members: €3.00 (€5.00 2+ family members).

Free refreshments will be available. Réalta will be available to buy at €4.00, and don't forget the TAS 2006 Calendar, also available on the nigt at €10.

If the weather is good, there will be an observing session from the adjoining car park afterwards. Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend.

This meeting was cancelled last night due to the heavy fog. There has been a lot of interest, and coupled with the fact that many members come from outside of the town, it was deemed worthy to hold off till another date.

There will be another update here later if Sean McKenna will give this talk on December 6th, or wait till the New Year.
