Hi All,
The club is visiting a school tonight in Bruff, Co. Limerick.
We intend been there from 7pm onwards, hopefully the sky will do us a favour and stay clear.
All interested in attending send me an email/pm before hand.
Hopefully I'll have some pics of it here tomorrow.

Will do Dave,
The interesting thing about this is that we didnt approach them, they came to us after seeing the on-going astro articles in the Limerick Leader, looks like they're working !

Wow, that's impressive- looks like you have your PR machine sorted.
You should post up a few of the articles here to show the rest of us how it's done!!!

The club website is going to be re-vamped soon enough, when it is, all the previous articles will be put up on it, and it'll be kept up to date as they're churned out.

What a great night!!, we had over 80 people turn up, primary, secondary students, pre-primary, parents and teachers.
We started off at 7pm with a look at the pleiades and Mars through the assortment of scopes that were brought along.
After that Tony gave a great slide show lasting 30-40 mins or so, then we went back outside and watched the moon for a while and finished off at around 9.30.
I think everyone enjoyed it, we sure did.

I'd like to thank the school for having us, with whom we will be repeating this event in the not too distant future.
I'd also like to thank Conn Buckley for co-ordinating this event with the school, Tony O'Hanlon for bringing his 8" SCT, Simon Kenny, Timmy Martin and Dawn for running the binoculars+tripods and to all those who attended. :)
