Eclipse DVD on sale at Cosmos was created by albertw
Hi,
I've just started buring the eclipse DVD for COSMOS. It will be on sale between talks on Sunday. I haven't worked out the cost yet but it will probably be around EUR2 per DVD. Great value for money!
Also on sale will be the IFAS Software CD (Vol 2) that John Flannery put together a little while back. Also EUR2.

Welcome to the IFAS Eclipse 2006 DVD
This DVD contains images and sounds of the IFAS Total Solar Eclipse trip to Turkey. Also included are some images from Anthony Ayiomamitis, a regular contributor to the IFAS website, who watched the eclipse from Greece.
The DVD was put together in just a few days, so everything that was sent in is included. That means there are plenty of holiday snaps (and video!) and its not all images of the sun!
To view the images:
* Windows users should do the following to view the pictures:
1. Open 'My Computer'
2. Right click on "IFAS Eclipse2006"
3. Select "Explore"
4. Double click on "PicasaCD"
* Non windows users will find the images in this directory for you to browse.
To view the videos: Here are a list of the videos we have included. You should be able to view them by clicking on them:

* Brian Nitz Camel 1 Camel 2 Museum sculpture song Termossos Termossos Waterfall Waterfall Waterfall
* Paul Tipper Full Eclipse Totality

Videos are included in the formats that people gave them to us. Therefore its possible that you may have problems playing them on your PC. If you experience problems, try opening the file by browsing through 'Windows Explorer'. Failing that we have included some tools that may help on the DVD. If that doesn't work you can try asking for help on the IFAS Website. Perhaps someone with a better knowledge of PC video formats and production could give us a hand producing the DVD next time??

Al,
I've just finished going through the DVD, WELLDONE, you've done a superb job with it
I went through all the photos and picasa is great as a slide show viewer.
The videos are also great. :shock:

I'll have some DVD's at the next SDAS meeting for the folks in Dublin.
For anyone else who would like a copy you can send me a stamped self addressed envelope and I'll send you the DVD. Pm me for my address. Rather than sending a 2 euro coin in the post you can include 4 48p stamps instead.
