Time for a change... was created by albertw
Hi folks,
Many of you will know by now that I won't be going forward for the Chairperson job in IFAS in the coming year.
The past 12 months have seen a lot of change in IFAS, particularly at a committee level and we are in good shape going into the next year. Thanks to all the committee members from all the clubs around the country for your help over the past year, and thanks also the the ever increasing number of members in clubs and online for making IFAS as good as it is. But as one political party says, 'A lot done more to do'
'More to do' for me will be around light pollution. The European Dark Sky Association, formed from the european members fo the IDA was agreed at the conference in Portsmouth. This will put all the regional groups on much better footing and also allow us to push more on a european level. The Irish Section will be busy for the next couple of years.
I know you will all join me in wishing the best to the new committee! (Once they are elected that is!)
Clear and Dark Skies,
~Al

And I'm sure others will join me in wishing Al the best in his future work with ILPAC and also in thanking him for a year's worth of great work as IFAS chair.
So, thanks Al and good Luck!

It is a pity you're not staying on. I know you're busy with work, ILPAC and your part-time education so can undetstand. However, I hope you don't drop out of IFAS too much either.
Thanks for your work over the last year!
