Quantum Leap was created by dmcdona
Folks - I'll be doing the night sky piece for Quantum Leap.
The show will air this Thursday at 20.00 on RTE Radio 1.
Mary will be asking me about IFAS and the IFAS AotY 2007.
So far, all I have is Saturn close to the moon on Friday... Anyone have any great sights for casual observers over the next week? (preferably naked-eye).
Cheers
Dave

Well done Dave.
If you have time, you could try and get them to grab a pair of binoculars and check out orions belt and sword, followed by Pleiades..
There must be a lot of binoculars out there...

and what about cosmos its on the weekend of March 10th, can you mention that, it is an event by an IFAS club afterall.
As an example of IFAS public outreach SAC will be doing a beavers group observing session in Limerick sometime in March, the date is not yet decided on, maybe also mention that the club has visited schools in the region and did FREE public observing nights in the school grounds, with the most of the school attending.
We'd welcome other invites from other school/organisation via our website
and maybe mention the weekly article in the limerick leader.
Say what you think is good, You cant say we're not active over here
