Sandymount Star Party was created by DeirdreKelleghan

We are having a Saturn viewing this Saturday in Sandymount in Dublin.
As usual we have everything crossed for even a few clear moments.
It's part of a world wide Saturn Observation Night to share this wonderful gas giant with everyone.

My sister Mary runs tours to the world's oldest observatory(Newgrange) from Sandymount:

I'll ask her to divert a few tourists out of the plush hotels in the area to see Saturn from Sandymount beach.

Peter.

All are welcome to attend. Please bring a scope if you can make it on Saturday. There's plenty of space and parking for all 8)

Bummer :!:

Clouded out and rained out tonight.
This event will be re-scheduled for the 24th, hopefully weather will be better.

On the 24th Saturn will be 40 deg in the SE and the first 1/4 moon will be 53 deg in the SW at around 9:00PM, so hopefully with a break in the clouds we will have something to show Joe Public.

Clear Skies,
