hi everyone,
the South Dublin Astronomical Society meetings resume on Thursday, September 9th. Note, this is the SECOND Thursday -- our meetings are normally the first Thursday of each month. Once again, the venue is Gonzaga College in Ranelagh and the kick-off time is 8pm.
I'd like to thank Gonzaga for continuing to support the SDAS by providing the meeting room. The College also has their own astronomy club.
the topic for the night is "I (want to) know what you did last Summer" -- a round-up of what things we got up to, astronomically speaking, over the summer hiatus. Various speakers on the night will talk about the transit of Venus, the ecliptomaniacs trip to Madagascar, my own trip to California observatories, and lots more!
all welcome and there's no membership fee or admission charge ...
all the best,
John
