Irish Astronomical Society October Talk was created by DeirdreKelleghan

Gosh this is going up a bit late, what with Gonzaga, the Whirlwind of Whirlpool and lots of other factors :-) Anyway I hope you will come along and support Michael's talk in Dunsink Observatory.

If you have not been to Dunsink before it is a lovely venue, we have the added advantage of using the Grubb later if the evening is clear.

I may run Cosmic Collisions a movie about the formation of the Moon, the powerful events on the surface of Sun, and the many cosmic collisions that keep our universe ticking over. ( Depends on the conditions, so this will be decided on the night)

Hope to see you all there:-)

Dunsink really is a wonderful venue for these talks, with the bonus of a chance to view through the historic 12" refractor if the sky remains clear (and according to Metcheck, the forecast is not too bad).
So come along, all are welcome.

I was hoping to make it, but things got in the way, so all I can say is good luck tonight, I hope the sky stays clear for viewing through the big scope.

I'm planning on being there... if I can find Dunsink! (I got lost on the M50 last time)

Can anyone tell me which exit to take off the M50 if I'm coming from Bray?

Do I go through the toll bridge or is the turn-off before that?

Thanks,

Phil.

PS - you can call or text me on 087 418 4374, but I'll check the email again at 7.30 before I jump in the car and trust to blind luck (no map!) :D

Get off at Blanchardstown after the toll bridge, turn right, next roundabout turn left and follow the road until you can go no further.
