The next talk in the Astro2 series of talks will be given by Terry Moseley, who I'm sure many of you know. Terry will be talking on "Observing the Nearest Planet", which is sure to be an interesting and highly entertaining talk.
As is usual, we will have a pringles and wine reception following the talk, and we'll break out the telescopes if we catch a break in the clouds.
For those of you of an argumentitive natue, the first of a new venture, the Astro2 debates will be kicking off that night also, with a session on Alien life. The debate will be very informal in structure and will be preceded by a short intoroduction to the idea, so no previous experience is nessecary.
All this wll be happening next Tueday, November 2nd, in Lecture Four, in the John Hume Building, on the North Campus of NUI Maynooth. the debate will begin at 6:30pm, and the talk is scheduled for 7:30pm. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
