This talk by Derek Heatly is in aid of Leukaemia Research.
Derek will speak about his experience of weightless flight,
his training in Russia, and his forthcoming space flight on board Virgin Galactic Spaceship Two.
See the Movie about the flight here www.virgingalactic.com/
Derek will be selling Lunar Meteorites, space memorabilia and all that good stuff
to raise funds for research into helping people with Leukaemia.
It’s a good talk; it’s for charity and it’s almost Christmas so do come along to support it.
Free event, but no children under 12 ( insurance reasons )
Thanks

I've seen Derek talk at the IAA and he really is very, very good indeed - he has some great stories to tell about his training in Russia - do get along there if you can, it's a must see!

It's the season of good will and Santa and Space Memorabilia gifts
So come along, enjoy the talk and bring a friend or three.
If its clear we may get a chance to view Holmes in the Grubb.
I sketched it last night late, its looks like a hammerhead shark.
Thanks

There you go - from the horses mouth it's a good talk. Please attend if you can and support Lukemia Research.
As Dee also says it would be memorable and historic to be able to say that you've seen Holmes in the 12" Grubb in the South Observatory in Dunsink. This will be arranged weather permitting of course.
Clear Skies,
