Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hey there.
The weather looks promising and I'm wondering if SDAS are planning anything tonight? I know we had a little trouble with an observing site on Sunday but dark skies are dark skies.

Hi Paul,
For some reason I missed this post.
As it turned out there was no observing session last night. I had one other query but I couldn't go out last night so we decided to leave it.
On the plus side, I was up by Cloon this afternoon and it has been re-opened . You can't go as far down the road as you used to be able to but the car park area is now a lot bigger.
Michael.

Michael.
I was down in Glendalough this afternoon, I stopped in at the forestry walk opposite Trooperstown Lodge Guest House, located just before Laragh. It looks a promising site for observing, there is no barrier across the road and a drive of about two hundred metres take you to a car park that is in a dip and well shielded from the road. It's a decent sized space, not too level, but what can you do? and might be worth checking out.

Hi Paul,
That sounds promising. Is the car park tarmac or gravel/grass?
Michael.

Hi Michael
It's the typical hard compacted material you generally find in these council car parks, neither concrete nor gravel, a horrible mixture of the two.
