I'm a complete novice but recently got a new car and want to go to the meetings held in Galway.Should I bring my average telescope or what,and I won't be made to stand up or embarassed too much.Will i.....

Galway Astronomy Club meet usually once monthly. You can see their website here:

They have the Galway Astrofest on January 25th, and their next club meeting is February 25th.
