Hi,
Is anybody on for an observing session tonight in Cloon?
Metcheck is predicating 8% cloud coverage but winds will be around 22mph

hmmm. I am interested. havnt been out in a while. 22mph is a bit much though i would have thought? Wont most scopes be shaking too much to be of any use?

22mph is too big for the 20" so I'll probably pass. Your best bet is either the second or third car park along the side of Djouce Wood. The second car park is protected to the west but exposed to the east (and the road) while the third car park is fully enclosed by trees and gives good protection from the wind. The downside is that the trees restrict your view of the sky (your horizon is quite high) and you need to move your scope from one side of the clearing to the other to make full use of the available sky.
