2nd International Sidewalk Astronomy Night

The Sidewalk Astronomers are promoting the 2nd International Sidewalk Astronomy Night on April 12th.

This may be of interest to clubs and groups involved in outreach. Personally I plan to set up a scope at my own front gate and invite the neighbours to have a look, if the weather allows.

The Irish Astronomical Society will be inviting the public to look through scopes in Sandymount - our usual location. More details will be posted on the boards shortly.

Yes indeed we will, weather permitting be in Sandymount for this. We are signed up to take part in International Sidewalk Astronomy Night.

Have a think about doing something in your area Start this year so it will be a cool IYA 2009 thing to do.

Hi,

The Dublin Sidewalk Astronomers (of the IAS) will also be at Sandymount
on Saturday on 29th March 2008 (8pm) for Earth Hour (see www.earthhour.org ) for a public star party. Weather permitting.

Full details will be on www.irishastrosoc.org for this and the April 12th event at Sandymount nearer the time.

Would the event in Sandymount be in the carpark along the coast road?

Or in the village itself?
