Call for May's Podcast Material was created by Seanie_Morris
I hope there are a few brave souls amongst the few hundred that browse these boards on a weekly basis that might step up to the podium and produce an audio piece for May's IFAS Podcast? I am looking for anything astronomical, and that choice is up to you: your own observing highlights in the past month or two, a sky guide for May, a binocular target, featured telescopic object, how-to, clubs and societies reports - anything!

To record something
Give yourself about 1 to 2 hours to prep your piece on paper and read over it, set up your computer to record, do the recording, and listen over to make sure it sounds fine. Then send your .wav or .mp3 to podcast@irishastronomy.org, and I will look after the rest. I won't need to edit anything except to normalize (equalise volume level) the piece with others, so your recorded voice remains your own.

If you wish to do so, please declare here what your piece is about so that we don't get duplicates.

New voices are ALWAYS welcomed, and all audio segments are appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Seanie.

Lots of suggestions for content, but no submissions have been received yet. Time is running out!

Seanie,
I have sent material for podcasts recently but the podcasts never went out, it takes me two-three hours to put what I do together and I'm not in the mood for wasting my time.
BUT,
if you tell me that the May one is definitely going out, then I'll put something together tonight.

Dave,
thanks for your candid comment, and believe me, even before I took over as podcast compiler, your input was appreciated. But, as you so deservedly asked, there will be no podcast this month, so don't waste your time. However, you might think about doing it in your spare time anyway for future use, have it on stand by?
