Got this advice from someone who learned how to hold binoculars steadily on the rolling decks of the greatest Navy the world has ever known.

“Hold the binoculars by cupping the 'heels' of your palms and the last three fingers about them. Press your thumbs into your cheekbones and press your index fingers against your temples above the 'soft spot'.
That way you can keep even 20 x 80 binoculars trained on enemy ships even in mountainous seas.”

Learn all about that great Navy here:

(One ship for each of the seven seas and one left over in case an eighth sea is discovered.)

Sounds a bit 'cheeky'... :) You get to give yourself a facial massage whilst holding your bino's!
