Hi all,

The next TAS public lecture takes place in the Presbyterian Church & Hall, High Street, Tullamore, as follows:

Date & Time: Tuesday July 1st @ 8pm
Speaker/Topic: Mr. Tom Bonner, Cork Astronomy Club (CAC)
Title: Spectroscopy: How the Stars reveal themselves to us
Admission:€2.00 per person

All are welcome to attend. Tom comes to us all the way from Cork. He is a well-traveled astronomer, having also been a long-time member of Shannonside Astronomy Club. He also brings equipment to demonstrate how to read 'star light' to determine what makes up that star.

Many thanks to Tom for making the trip up and giving us quite an "enlightening" talk. ;) His homemade spectrometer did the trick for us with his experiments and explanations. Well done Tom!
