Invite for IFAS Clubs to AI's Star-B-Q was created by DaveGrennan
Guys you may recall
last year
, I offered an invite to representitaves from IFAS clubs to attend AI's starb-q free of charge. Last year I left it a bit late and promised to give more notice this year.
Basically the offer is for a free pair of tickets for each IFAS club to come along and enjoy the event. Ideally I would prefer if the tickets were used by the club committees so the IFAS volunteers get to meet the AI volunteers and get to know each other a bit better. However if committee members can't make it, you can pass your clubs two tickets to ordinary members, you can even raffle them if you like and make a few bob for your club.
The event will be held on Saturday August 30th in An Tochar GAA club, Roundwood.
To avail of this offer you need to send me a pm with the name of one person who will be attending (the second can just come along with the first) and the club you are representing. I will leave this list at the entrance for the volunteers on the gate.
I'd be *really* happy if some of you can make it along. If you want to bring your scopes even better but there will be lots of scopes there anyway.

Hi Guys,
Just to add to Dave's post. Celestron gave me a NexStar 8" SE telescope and a SkyScout to give away at the event. So just by coming along you may be going home with an 8" telescope under your arm.
Here is what the scope looks like
Here is the SkyScout.
So the best of luck to everyone.

Generous offer guys, thanks for posting. I can't go myself as I'll be having my own 30th on the night of the 30th! I don't think the barbeque will be as big, but I know the steaks will be bigger!
