Hi All,
There is an occultation of Venus by the Moon on Monday 1st December.
It starts at 15:30 and ends at 17:10.
We will be observing in Greystones by the Dart station.
If anyone is interested in coming along, let me know.
Michael.

I'm going to try and make it Michael.
Haven't used the scope since the last SDAS session up at Ballyremon. I am worried that I have passed through the withdrawl symptoms to a state of not bothering even when we had clear skies. Its just pointless with the 2 orange street lights right over the small front garden at the new house.
Monday will be a test of whether it is a case of not bothering because of the streetlights or not bothering because I just don't care anymore. ie. if I get that buzz again on Monday I'll know its the streetlights and then I can be confident that it wont be a waste of money investing in a roof observing area come renovation time early next year. If I'm bored on Monday, well.....scope might end up in the classifieds section.

Hi Keith,
Be sure to give me a call so I can let you know the final observing location.
We might be observing near Sugarloaf or even ballyraemon.

Hi All,
Just as an update to this - We will be meeting in the LIDL carpark at 2:30 and will decide where to go after that. The LIDL is on the old Bray to Greystones road on the right hand side. You can't miss it.
Michael.
