On Friday 6th February Blackrock Castle Observatory will be launching their part of 2009 International Year of Astronomy
Doors will be opening at 5.30pm and the official launch will take place at 6pm
The official opening will be done by Leo Enright at 6 pm
The following will then take place after the opening:
1. In the Footsteps of Galileo - international exhibition of astronomical
drawings, curated by Deirdre Kelleghan, President of the Irish Astronomical Society
2. Monthly lunar viewing session
3. Children will be invited to draw what they have seen during
the viewing session
All of the above is open to the general public
