IAS Update was created by JohnMurphy
The Irish Astronomical Society Annual General Meeting was held in Dunsink last night. I thought I'd post an update so that everyone is aware of any changes.
Deirdre Kelleghan has been president for 3 years now and she has given so much time and effort for the Society. Unfortunately our constitution only allows for 3 consecutive years as president so Deirdre has now stepped down.
John O'Neill (VP) has also stepped down from the committee, after many years of service.
Congratulations to Michael Murphy who was elected president.
Dave Brannigan also remains as Society Treasurer.
We wish Michael the best of luck in managing the affairs of the Society, and are confident he will be successful in all undertakings.
