Congratulations Carl on all the hard work you've put in to obtaining the code.
The amount of recognised observatory codes for Ireland is way above the average for a population density.
For example, the UK has about the same numerical amount of codes as Ireland.

Eamonn - I wondered what the numbers where in preparation for a talk down in Kerry. Its really hard, from the obs code list, to figure out which are GB based and which aren't.
My best guestimate was just over 60 codes in England/Scotland/Wales. That's about one observatory per million population.
Ireland (the island of) has 9 observatories - that's roughly 2 per million population.
