For those interested in viewing the total solar eclipse from Libya in 2006, The Ecliptomaniacs (

) have a number of places available on their trip deep into the Libyan desert close to the point of maximum totality where you will see at least 4mins of the glorious corona. The trip has a 10 day and a 15 day option, the 10 day is more easy going with the 15 day giving you the full desert experience. The whole group of 24 people will view the eclipse together and then split into 2 when those on the 10 day will travel back towards the coast and those on the 15 day will travel further into the desert to visit the spectacular Acacus Mountains.
Currently there are available:
3 places on the 10 day trip.
5 places on the 15 day trip.
