Complimentary Tickets for AI Star-B-Q for IFAS clubs.

Folks,

As is now traditional, I have permission from Astronomy Ireland to offer two complimentary tickets to each IFAS club for AI's Star-B-Q which is being held on August 22nd (Sat night) in Roundwood GAA club, Co. Wicklow. If your club would like to take up this offer then please let me know. Details of whats happening at this years event are here . Remember you can either use these tickets or feel free to raffle them to raise a few bob for your IFAS club.

Meant to ask Dave, how did it go? Did the weather play ball?

The event went very well. Unfortunately the weather was not good. However everyone still seemed to have a good time. There were extra talks put on which went on till after midnight. There were side displays and fire jugglers. The food also went down well.

The telescope part was re-run on the following Friday night. Unfortunately, I was not able to make it but there was a gloriously clear night which finished after dawn!! I understand everyone who returned for the follow up had a really great night.
