My three dimensional large Moonball helped to explain Full Moon , New Moon and other phases in Blackrock Castle Observatory on Friday.

A full house at First Fridays at the Castle for my talk
Denis Walsh from Cork Astronomy Club lines up Jupiter to show
to the crowd at the public star party after the talk.
It was a lovely clear evening , great to be able to share some of the moons features with the crowd directly after explaining them .
Tycho was spectacular as usual, and even in some of the smaller scopes the banding on Jupiter was evident.
In IYA 2009 it is really cool to show the Galilean moons to the public. I hope every club in the country will join in Galilean Nights in October.
