Just some further info for any coming to Galway next weekend. A public observing session will take place at our dark sky site on the friday night situated 12 miles north, about a 15 minute drive from the hotel.
While after dinner on the Saturday it will be a private affair for IFAS and Festival attendees. So please bring your telescopes as the weather forecast is looking excellent. Hot drinks will be available also although the site is well sheltered.
The usual excellent Festival dinner is only €30 (although limited places) this year with the entertainment being provided by none other Terry Moseley.

This a big thanks to all the folks who organised the Galway Astronomy Festival. Personally, I thought it was excellent - there was a wide variety of presentations by very competent, interesting and enthusiastic presenters of the highest calibre.
I thought the whole day was exceptional value for money, was well organised and held in a very nice venue.
So thanks a million folks.
