Now THAT will have to be the most excellent site I have ever seen for astronomical observing! I wish I was going Eugene, having been at that very same car park in daylight next to the beautiful Mahon Falls, I have to say, anyone going on Sunday night will NOT be disappointed...
...unless it rains!

Re list of talks, not yet as BLAS & DAS will be organising joint talks we'll be looking for "victims"though.
Report on tonights observing at Mahon Falls IT WAS FREEZING but about 30 people turned up and stayed ,not counting the 7 DAS members,we had 5 scopes in use and 3 more we didnt due to v strong wind.
Liam W gave us 2 plugs on WLR FM today and people came from all over the county,We showed them the Moon the comet, M42,Perseus double cluster Pleidaes and various coloured stars ie Aldeberan /Sirius etc and of course Saturn, they were thrilled,we had Q's some good contacts were made too.
BTW we gave the .org site and IFAS plugs on the radio too.
Again I'd like to thank all the DAS members who turned out and made it a great night.
