Thanks for the link Deirdre. I watched the webcast for about an hour, and it was really interesting to see a large telescope at work. A 14" scope, perfect alignment on a pillar mount, under clear Italian skies! I could get used to that.

Yes it was enjoyable on a rainy evening , did you join in the chat ?
For those who did not take part we looked at M42, M78, McNeil Nebula, , NGC 2392 , M1 and a close up of the pulsar. Mars and Comet P/2010 A2 linear .
M1 in h alpha was spectacular .
These sessions happen regular , another one coming up toward the end of February.
I will post the link if I am aware of it, I usually get an invite through Facebook
