Just a note about up coming IAS events.
On Friday 23rd we will by at the Car park near the Martello Tower in Sandymount from 8 to 10.
If the weather is cloudy we will be there from 8 until 9.
Feel free to turn up if you have any astronomy related questions.
On Saturday 24th we will be on the promenade in Bray at the Esplanade Hotel end from 7:30 to 9:30.
We will be showing the Moon, Mars and Saturn and might get a look at Venus.
All are welcome.
Michael.

Can't make the Sandymount event on Friday but in terms of the Bray Promenade event on Saturday.....
No point in me dropping down my equatorial tracking platform for you to use on the night so:) Renting only a couple of hundred yards up the road from the proposed Observing location on the promenade so it would have been nay bother to carry it down and back at the end of the night.
Actually, If Dee is attending with her dob, I could bring it down for her to use if she wants tracking for the night.
Same 'ol Same 'ol with me I am afraid. Busy busy busy with work and the renovations still, so didn't have time to put the scope back together properly yet (despite what I said up in San Souci. ) and the primary needs a massive clean after being stored at the back of the kitchen in the rented house. Cooking steam day after day has rendered the surface like frosted glass. I hope I haven't done permanent damage!!
However, if Michael felt like packing his Flextube Auto dob as well as his CPC1100, then I would be happy to come down, help him setup and pack away and operate the dob for him on the night I'll even supply the eyepieces  Let me know Michael if thats something you wanted to do and I'll swap shifts in work. If not I'll stick to the late shift and pop down and say hello after 9.

That's very generous Keith. I'll bring a second scope with me.
See you there,
Michael.
