Tony O'Hanlon sent me the details yesterday for the 2010 Whirlpool Star Party being run from October 8th to 10th.

16.15hrs Robotic Telescope Farms, a better use of smaller apertures, Dr Niall Smith
17.30hrs Solar Storms and Space Weather, Dr Lyndsay Fletcher
20.45hrs The Rosse Observatory, Dr Peter Gallagher

Sounds like a great weekend, bit like the old days, superb speakers there too, €40 sounds like
very good value for money, will be heading to Birr, who else is going?

Does the famous telescope finaly WORK?

Hope to be there for the Saturday. Will be travelling over and back on the same day.
Big gap between the 3rd and 4th talks though. Perhaps this would be a good slot for the IFAS AGM?

Hopefully Birr Castle will have the Space Odyssey 2010 Exhibition available to those who go on the Saturday.
