Congrats to Dave whom Ryan T. interviewed in the audience about his supernova discovery.
While Dave discovered a dying star, he also congratulated Dave McDonald who discovered a previously unknown star... .
Oct. is nearly at an end and irish astronomy is still hitting the headlines  .
Well done all.
Paul.

It was a very accomplished interview - well done Dave - and thanks for the plug
By the way, I must have missed the bit where Tubridy said
"So, Dave Grennan has discovered a Supernova - well, would you believe it, there's one for everyone in the audience!"
I'll get me coat
Well done Dave - you did Amateur Astronomy proud last night.

Yes, well done Dave and Dave....I must confess, I was watching a DVD on Friday night - until my Mother in law ran in from next door and said "that astronaut fella from Dublin is on the telly" I knew what she meant:laugh:

Thats a classic!! I've been called a few things over the past few weeks, an astronaut, thats a first.
Anyway Thanks Guys,
It was fun and nervwracking all at the same time. (If thats possible.) I had really no idea what questions were going to be thrown at me. I only wished the slot was towards the beginning of the show as I could have relaxed for the rest of it.
Anyway thanks for the good wishes, it is great that astronomy is getting a bit of coverage on out airwaves and thats whats important. I was delighted to be able to get the chance to congratulate Dave Mc on his discovery.

Here's the link for the RTE equivalent of the Iplayer and Dave's appearance on TLLS.

Dave appears 1:17:50 into the programme, after Tom Jones... y'see Dave, you're more important than Tom and rightfully so! That was a lovely touch mentioning your dying star discovery and Dave McD's new star discovery.
