As part of SCIENCE WEEK the next Midlands Astronomy Club (MAC) public lecture takes place in the Presbyterian Hall, High Street, Tullamore, as follows:

Speaker/Topic: Open to the General Public
Title: Telescope Night (for Beginners)
Admission: €2.00, all are welcome. There will be a few souvenir items to everyone that attends on the night.
This is a great opportunity for those who have a telescope but have not been able to fully appreciate its full potential or operation. Experienced MAC members will demonstrate how best to use your telescope (and binoculars), what it can see and how to maintain it. This is for all ages and you are encouraged to bring along your own telescope.
