Deise Astronomy is pleased to announce our 'Introduction to Astonomy' night classes, starting Thurs 17th February.
Venue: Deise College, Fair Lane, Shandon, Dungarvan
Time: 19:30 to 21:30
Fees: €120 - this is for 10 classes of 2 hours each & also includes one years' membership of Deise Astronomy Society. Free tea & coffee will be provided.
Suitable for Beginners to Intermediate.
The course will be run by Emmet Mordaunt, former planetarium director & editor of Astronomy & Space magazine.
This is a great way to get into the hobby of astronomy - topics will include: how to observe the night sky along with advice on what telescope to buy, our solar system, the history of astronomy, cosmology and much more.
You will also have the opportunity to observe the night sky after class (when the weather allows!).

A venue in Tramore will be announced soon (hopefully we can get a good one that is good for viewing after the course,fingers crossed);-) .
