Galway Astronomy Club new season was created by R Newman
Details have just been released of the new 2011/2012 season for Galway Astronomy Club, this year already we have had over 30 new members signing up and expect more during the Autumn season, so the focus is now on the positive future strategy.
Also planned is a move towards delivering more beginners classes, with a new focus on practical work on using and setting telescopes, astrophotography. These small presentations are to become part of a basic guidebook.
More public appearances, on the promenade and other high visibility place with focused interaction with schools to raise awareness of the clubs activities. Finally
setting the clubs own observatory in Galway. This is an idea that the club has been trying for a long while to materialize but location is the obvious problem.
