Come one, come all, MAC will be hosting a BBQ/Camping event at our observing site on Saturday 6th August from 8pm.

This event is open to everyone, members or not, with an interest in astronomy and children are more than welcome. A few of us with children will be camping over on the night so if you've got a tent your more than welcome to bring it along. Club members will be there from 8pm onwards all you need to bring with you is the food and drink you want for the night.

If the weather is clear we might be able to see a few Perseids meteorites, or if it's like the last time, loads of satellites. As long as it's not raining, who cares :) If you want directions or more information your welcome to post here or contact the club members listed here: www.midlandsastronomy.com/about.html

We'll be supplying:
  • The BBQ
  • Camp fire
  • Eating utensils
  • A place to pitch your tent
  • We might even help :)

All you need to do is bring along:
  • Your own food
  • Your own drink
  • Camping equipment if staying over
  • A nice chair for sitting around the camp fire
  • And a good story or two to share during the night

Hope to see you there.
