Midlands Astronomy Club are hosting an Astronomy Outreach Event in St. Kieran's Community Centre, Tormey Villas in Athlone this Friday September 16th. We will be there getting set up from 8pm with telescopes and binoculars and have a series of 10 minute talks ready indoors if the weather is bad.

This is a great opportunity for anyone, kids and adults, to come down even with their telescope and binoculars and chat to experienced amateur Astronomers on anything to do with the hobby.

This is a free event and is open to all ages, all levels of interest.

To get there: Take the Junction 11 exit at B&Q and follow the signs (as best you can!) to find St. Kieran's Community Centre. It has a GAA pitch so that should help a little! It's not far from B&Q.

For any enquiries you can ask here or contact the club Secretary via midlandsastronomy 'at' gmail 'dot' com

Clear Skies!
