Thanks to all who came along. Liam, Martin, robin, Val, Brian, Mike and Ken.
We had a great evening with lovely, clear orange skies .
There was a nice Iridium flare in the middle as well.
I've posted some photos. All taken with a Canon 550D, no flash hence the over exposed street lights.

Thanks for organising the Sandymount outing Michael. The weather was as good as it gets in Dublin and some of the passers by were captivated by the views of the moon, Jupiter, double stars and star clusters. A special thanks to Martin who allowed me to try out his long focal length wide angle eyepieces, with stunning results. I've started writing my "Dear Santa" letter. We even saw the whole of the "coathanger" through a 200mm scope. Great night, thanks everyone.
Mike
