just a quick note to say that the following meetings are next week in Dublin.
Irish Astronomical Society: Monday, 3rd Nov. -- a talk entitled "Armageddon outta here!" by John Flannery. It's a humorous look at the ways planet Earth will (and nearly did) meet it's demise. Asteroid impacts, GRBs, black holes, end of the Universe, etc. The IAS meet in Ely House, 8 Ely Place, Dublin 2 at 8pm.
South Dublin Astronomical Society: Thursday, 6th Nov. -- a talk entitled "Solar Eclipse Adventures" will be give by Brian Seales. Brian is one of the leading lights in hosting
