This a bit of a long shot but I have been asked by the organiser of a cub-scout event over the June bank holiday if there is an astronomer(s) out there who would be willing to give a talk on basic navigation using the stars.
The talk would be 30 mins long and aimed at 9 to 11 year olds.
There would be about 150 in the audience.
The plan is to have 4 talks one on Saturday AM, Saturday PM, Sunday AM and Sunday PM.
The venue is Ardgillen Castle in Swords.
A data projector will be provided as will a laptop if required.
As I said, a bit of a long shot but if anyone is available it would be appreciated.
Failing that, if there is a presentation out there that covers the topic I could pass it on.
