Hello,

Sad news with the passing of Neil Armstrong (1930-2012), may he rest in peace.

A professional pilot and astronaut, he avoided the limelight. He was perhaps the most skilled
of the astronauts. Anybody who was present to hear him pilot Eagle towards the moon landing in July 1969 will
never forget his cool voice, when running out of fuel. He (and Buzz) landed their craft with seconds to spare.

Very sad to hear this . He is one of the last of a generation of pioneers that truly inspired the human species to strive for our dreams and a better world.

The end of an era, a part of my childhood and the reason I have lifelong interest in all things astronomy and space. I seen those grainy black and white picures of Neil and Buzz in 1969 on the family TV....seems a lifetime ago

There are few people on our world, whose names will live for as long as the earth orbits the sun - his name will be close to the top of that list

RIP to the original man in the moon.

Such an iconic figure of our times, his place in human history assured. What a tremendous achievement
in his life not only as the bearer of the title of the first human being to set foot on the moon, but an astounding
achievement to stay away from the limelight which reflected his humble personality. Many will envy and admire the 'man on the moon' for ever more.

May he rest in peace

Keith.
