SAC Burren Star Party 2013, October 4th-5th was created by dave_lillis
Hi All,
Shannonside Astronomy club will be running its annual BSP in the Poulnabrone Dolmen Car Park, County Clare, October 4-5th 2013.
If the weather is not good, we will abandon the observing and go back to Logues Lodge in Ballyvaughan.

Before we begin observing with the telescopes, a quick open air talk will be done to show what constellations, stars and planets are visible.

If you have your own scope or binoculars, its worth your while bringing them along.
This is a free "let's go observing event" at a great dark sky site, open to all.

Great event at a very dark site with lots to see during the daytime too in the beautiful Burren area. Some good fishing off the rocks 15 minutes from Ballyvaughan that time of year too for those inclined.
Are you still holding the sky presentation at the ring fort?

Hi John,
It looks like that it's currently not on the cards this year. I can ask again if people feel its wanted...
TBH, I think the feeling is that people prefer to be out under the sky.

Hi Dave,

How did it go this year? Sorry I couldn't make it, I had work commitments and my wife was on a course, so I was double grounded!
