MAC StarBQ and Camp Night Sat July 13th was created by Seanie_Morris
Hi All,

This Saturday July 13th MAC will host its rescheduled StarBQ and Camp Night at our Clonminch Site. It is a free-for-all, bring a tent to stay over (most of us in the club plan to do so), bring a friend and the kids. We'll have the barbie, you bring your food (and beer, enjoy responsibly).

The usual things like an easy/camping chair, extra fleece, midge repellent, and extra water/food, binoculars (to spy on the stars, not the neighbours), and food for breakfast if you are camping over!

It's all for fun, and if it is your first time, it gives you an idea of what we do for our renowned annual Perseids StarBQ.

Directions and more info can be obtained by emailing midlandsastronomy@gmail.com or by asking here.

Clear Skies,

Seanie.

We are on course for our Summer StarBQ and Camping Night this Saturday night July 13th at our Clonminch Site near Tullamore! The weather will continue to be warm and dry.

What MAC will provide
Charcoal barbecue and some cooking instruments, and a natural campfire

What you need to bring
Food and condiments, drink, cutlery, etc.

What else not to forget
Chair to sit on, camping chair to relax on, tent (if you want to camp over), light fleece in case the night gets a little cool, red torch, binoculars or telescope.

The focus of this is on fun and friendliness, the observing is secondary!

We have had great fun in the past, especially when the weather was in our favour, which it will be this year. Bring your kids or a friend and have fun!

If you need any other information, please do not hesitate to ask.
