Hi All,
MAC is having another of our informal Summer club event: our Annual Perseids StarBQ and Camping Night, where Astronomy is secondary! This Saturday August 10th, weather permitting, we'll have a barbecue and campfire at our Clonminch Site. It is a free-for-all, bring a tent to stay over (most of us in the club plan to do so), bring a friend and the kids. We'll have the barbie, you bring your food (and beer, enjoy responsibly).
The usual things like an easy/camping chair, extra fleece, midge repellent, and extra water/food, binoculars (to spy on the stars, not the neighbours), and food for breakfast if you are camping over!
It's all for fun, and if it is your first time, it gives you an idea of what we do for our renowned annual Perseids StarBQ.
FREE EVENT but you MUST REGISTER by email or text (087 6825910) with your name. Directions and more info can be obtained by emailing midlandsastronomy@gmail.com or by asking here.
Clear Skies,
Seanie.
