Who will be IFAS Astronomer of the Year 2013? was created by Seanie_Morris
Fellow IFAS Members,
You are now invited to vote for the person or team of people who you think have a made a significant contribution to Amateur Astronomy during 2013. As always, this accolade is a peer recognition and the prize is the respect of your fellow astronomers and friends on the IFAS boards.
Nominations are open to all members of the website. You may only vote once, so make your vote count.
Please send all entries to: ifasastronomeroftheyear@gmail.com
Your entry should consist of your proposed IFAS Astronomer of the Year (either an individual or team). A short sentence or two outlining why you believe they deserve the award would be helpful too.
Closing date for entries via this email address only is Tuesday December 31st.
Clear Skies,
Seanie Morris,
IFAS Chairperson.

A question on this - can this award only be won once?

Looking back at past winners the closest precedent is Dave Grennan and Dave McDonald winning it 1 1/2 times Each won it once on their own and also jointly in 2008.

Hi Paul,
In my opinion, it is all down to votes, so if someone is voted a second time, then it is because the voting parties deemed it so!
