High spec pc for sale was created by John_Walshe
Hi folks,
I have a number of high spec pcs for sale. These are serious number crunchers and I believe would be ideal for image manipulation, certainly their previous role was in real-time mm-wave imaging.
The MB is a supermicro X7DAL-E and each pc has two Quad core E5345 XEON processors (ie 8cores per PC).
They come in a 4u industrial PC 18" rack mount case and because their intended environment was hot they have lots of fans (easily disconnected and moved to other uses - like cooling the scope for instance). The PSU is high spec - capable of 550W if required.
The gotcha however is no ram or hard drive - these were removed by the company before I got them. I just checked ebay and the ram is quite cheap and the MB will handle six sata drives(I built a 4TB nas with one of these).
I have tested each PC and they are all working.
I am selling these to build up the obsy fund, cos here in Cork every second counts in between the clouds.
I haven't advertised them anywhere else yet as I want to give this forum the first dibs.
To buy the parts alone would be >€1200 so I am asking €500 ono for these.
