The following modifications have been added to the original specification:

- the telescope tube exterior has been thermally optimised by fitting it with aluminised foil to reduce inverse tube currents caused by the chilling effect of the night sky.

- a 12 volt, 120mm x 120mm x 25mm High Air Flow 70cfm fan has been fitted behind the main mirror speed up cooling to ambient temperature.

- the secondary mirror edge has been darkened to reduce internal reflections / stray light inside the telescope.

- the focuser tube and the area inside the telescope tube opposite the focuser have been darkened to reduce internal reflections / stray light inside the telescope.
